Can you drink the water? No.
Can you set up multiple rain barrels? Yes, the more rain barrels the better!
Can you use a soaker hose? Yes a soaker hose can be used with the rain barrel.
How much rain is needed? 1” of rain fall on 1000 sq ft produces 650 gallons.
How does rain get in the barrel? Through our specially designed lid that also acts as a screen to eliminate debris from entering.
Is rain water better than tap water for gardening? Yes – rain water is free of chemicals that are used to treat our tap water and better for your garden and landscape.
Installation suggestions: Place the rain barrels on a solid surface, i.e. brick pavers and slightly elevated to increase the pressure of the water.
Am I helping the environment? YES! Rain barrels help reduce erosion, contamination, and the strain on our water supply.
Are your barrels safe? Yes – Palmetto Rain Barrels are designed to be installed with 3 screws which securely attach the top lid.
Where can we use a Palmetto Rain Barrel? Palmetto Rain Barrels work most effectively under any down spout around your home or area that water is diverted from an elevated surface.
How often should I clean my Palmetto Rain Barrel? We suggest cleaning our rain barrels once every 3 -4 months.
